Lucrezio: Shows

Here's to making memories . . . noon came and all of my equipment was set up at FMCC to play for students during their common hour; more or less a preview of the concert to come that night. simple enough . . .

okay, 12:40ish rolls around. I just begin my last song, when suddenly *reh, reh* (aka. my rendition of the schools fire alarm) An older gentleman runs in shouting, "There's a gas leak! Everyone must evacuate the building!!" Apparently the construction workers next door drilled into a pipe! Enough said . . . so we all got out of there. And I somehow made my way to Friendly's, after a short stop at the Dollar Tree, to grab some lunch amidst waiting to figure out if the show for that night was still on. Lunch was over . . no word yet, but I deceided to take advantage of the afternoon and find a coffeeshop so I could plug my computer in and get some work done.
"Excuse me ma'm? (friendly's worker) Is there a coffeeshop anywhere near where I could plug my computer into?" --- Pause 0-- "hmm, no . . . but you can stay here!" Before I knew it, I was parked at Friendlys for the afternoon, computer and cell phone out. It was quite the afternoon =)

There's more to the story . . . but let's just say that I received word that although all activities at FMCC were cancelled, we were proceeding with the concert at a nearby church. The turnout was surprising and encouraging despite the sudden change! So thank you to all of you who came . . . despite other mishaps that will go unmentioned . . . =) . . . it was a great time.
